Best Worst Tool for Electricians
As a new Construction Electrician I do a lot of underground (laying conduit). The first day using this thing was absolutely amazing. What would normally take me and one other person 4 hours to do with a manual fish tape it only took 30 min with the electric one! This fishing aid "When Working" is an absolute beast! Unfortunately, on day 2 it stopped working. Day 2 consisted of runs between 70' to 150'. For an unknown reason at 75' the Tool stops and is unable to feed anymore Tape. It will Reverse and will coil it back up but no matter what I do, I cannot get any more tape out passed 75'.

Not sure I would buy this again until they fix the
This worked pretty well until I got stuck inside for unknown reason and then broke I've only used it a handful of times for it to snap like that is just poor quality I like the concept I wish the fish tape would work better or last longer

No, we won't be buying this product
We are an electrical contractor and put these fish tapes through the test. The motor has tons of power but the drums have a problem. We got two - 240' broken (jammed inside), the 120' steel fish tape lasted about 2 months and it got kinked at about the 60' mark, we then tried the 100' poly and it lasted 1 test run. We have invested in three powered bases, two - 240 drums, and 1 - 120' drum, and 1 poly drum, and they are all sitting on the shelf broken. Love the idea but they need work

I am a commercial electrician. I wanted to see what it could handle. I pushed it above and beyond it’s capability on purpose. Hands down this is 11 out of 10. I watched many reviews before I had my project manager purchase the tool. I was skeptical at first however this thing is a brute. Hang on. The cost of higher wages clearly outweigh the initial cost. It paid for its self in one day in labor savings and not to mention safety related injuries. I’m a Milwaukee man thru and thru and this fish tape further reinforces my opinion on Milwaukee brand tools. Above and beyond cutting edge technology. I wish Milwaukee would reach out to real tradesmen. I have next level ideas they would capitalize on. I don’t care what anyone reviews this item at. I work for a massive electrical contractor and if it makes sense it makes dollars. This tool will do what they claim it will. I pushed it above and beyond and it barley failed due to pulling thru cans with over 700 degrees in bends not you mention #6 thhn three phase.

Worked good for several pulls, out of no where it seized up and broke inside. Not eligible for e-service supposedly.

I would not recommend this product.
We purchased seven of these, 3 of the 7 are no longer working as they bind up on their selves.

Not sure I’d spend the money again on the steel dr
Bought the angler with the 240’ steel fish tape. It has bound up so much that it broke itself inside the drum.

Does not work as advertised
I bought this one year ago. Only used it four times. After the 2nd time I had to send the steel 240ft back for warranty issues. Used it again when I got it back, worked fine but went to use again and garbage. My feeling is that when you use it pull wires the tension becomes so much on the drum that it coils the tape in under extreme pressure and tension . Works great until you try to use it again. It's now just a coiled up slinky. I would not recommend the steel tape. May be better with the nylon tape.

Love this tool but steel drum has issue’s
Love this tool, however my 240’ steel drum has already bound up to the point were i cant use it anymore. Worked great for the first 10-20 long runs but after that it started kinking up. Wondering if there is any kind of warranty on a drum replacement. The drum is only about 2 months old.
